Adapun pokok-pokok bahasan yang terkandung di dalam surah Al-Falaq, yaitu Seperti yang telah disebutkan, terdapat perintah bagi orang-orang beriman untuk selalu minta perlindungan kepada Allah Swt. untuk menghadapi kejahatan maupun hal-hal buruk yang tersembunyi; Diriwayatkan dari At Tirmizi, Abu Daud, dan An Nasa-i dari Uqbah bin Aamir bahwa Nabi Muhammad Saw. salat dengan membaca surah Al-Falaq serta An-Naas saat sedang berada di dalam perjalanan; Dari riwayat tersebut, orang-orang yang beriman pun dianjurkan untuk membaca Al-Falaq saat mereka sedang ada di perjalanan sebagai bentuk permohonan perlindungan kepada-Nya; Surah Al-Falaq mempunyai hubungan dengan surah An-Naas. Kedua surah ini sama-sama memberi ajaran kepada manusia untuk selalu menyerahkan perlindungan kepada Allah Swt. semata dari segala bentuk kejahatan. Lantas, di Al-Falaq, kita diminta untuk meminta perlindungan dari kejahatan, sedangkan dalam An-Naas meminta perlindungan dari manusia dan jin.
